Text a web invoice that separates build hours, hosting and a milestone. An SMS that says “website 2,000” with no lines is hard to pass to a bookkeeper.
Give the web project lines a bookkeeper can read
Web work often mixes a milestone, hourly overflow and a small hosting charge. Put them on separate lines so the hosting does not look like it costs hundreds and the milestone does not look like a duplicate of the hours. Say which site and which phase in the text. Net 30 is common here. If you are billing a deposit before you start, call it a deposit and do not also call it the launch milestone.

Name the site
“Orbit Cafe” is the client. The text can say “launch” so phase two is a different invoice later.
Do not bill the milestone and the same hours
Hours are for work outside the fixed milestone, or the milestone replaces the hours. Pick one story and stick to it.
Hosting is small and dated
Say the month. A bare “hosting” line every month with no month name looks like a duplicate.
Send the SMS to the person who approves payment
The developer contact and the payer are often different. Ask once, then keep using that number.

- Hosting or a domain if you paid it for them
- Net terms written as a number of days

The invoice follows the milestone you delivered, not the original calendar date. Say what was delivered.

Yes, as two sentences. Label them. “Staging” and “invoice” should not be ambiguous.
Can I bill a retainer in this shape?
Use one line for the retainer and extra lines only for work outside it.
