Invoice from the truck or job site

Create the invoice in the cab or on the doorstep and send it before the next job overwrites the details.

The cab is a better office than your memory

By the third job of the day the first job’s materials are fuzzy. The truck is where you still have the notes on the passenger seat and the customer’s text open. Create the invoice before you pull away. If the signal is poor, type the line into your notes and send the moment you have a bar. Do not promise yourself you will “do all the invoices at 6”. Six o’clock is when the lines start to merge.

Message you can send

Sent from the van. Rear slope repair and tiles, due in 14 days: https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Invoice before the engine starts

The next address will wipe the last one from your head.

02

Keep the note on the seat as the source

Read the prices from the note, not from memory, when the job was complicated.

03

One customer per invoice

Do not build a second invoice in the same draft and overwrite the first link.

04

Mark paid if they paid in cash at the door

Otherwise the evening admin includes a chase you do not need.

What to put on this invoice

  • The job note from that address
  • The customer’s text thread
  • A due date you can say out loud
  • One invoice, then the next job

Questions about this job

Is it safe to do this while driving?

No. Park. An invoice is not worth a junction.

What if the site has no signal?

Draft the words, send at the end of the road. Do not invent the total later from memory if the note is in the truck.

Should the customer see that I am in the van?

They do not see your screen. They see a clear message. You can say you are sending it before you leave.

The next job is the enemy of this invoice. Send this one first.
