Mobile car detailer invoice by SMS
Text the package, the add-on and the travel to the driveway. A detailer’s SMS should name the vehicle.
Name the car and the package
Mobile detailing is paid on the driveway, or it becomes a number the customer does not recognise next week. Name the vehicle in the text, price the package they booked, and add pet hair, engine bay or ceramic only if they said yes. Travel is a line if you quoted it. Due on receipt matches a job they watched you finish.
Put the car in the SMS
“Grey Golf” is enough. The registration can live on the invoice if you need it.
Package first, add-ons after
The package is what they booked. Add-ons are what changed the price.
Travel only when it was quoted
A travel fee invented at the end of the driveway will be refused, correctly.
Ask them to open it before you pack the hoses
You are still there to explain pet hair as a line.
What to put on this invoice
- The package name and price
- Add-ons they approved
- Travel, if quoted
- The vehicle, so the text is not anonymous
Questions about this job
What if they pay cash on the spot?
Send the invoice anyway and mark it paid. They have a record and you have a total for the day.
Should ceramic coating be on this invoice?
Only if you applied it today. A future coating is a deposit line or a later invoice.
Can I invoice two cars in one text?
Yes, as two lines, if the same person is paying. Say both cars in the SMS.
The driveway is the moment they are most willing to look at the total. Use it.
