Write it so a finance inbox can trust a phone

Consulting buyers forward texts to someone who pays the bills. The example names the company, the two items and the terms, and it tells them the PDF is on the link. That is deliberate. The payer may never join the chat. They will download a file. If this engagement had no research package, delete that price and those words. If it was only a workshop, say workshop. Fourteen days is the example. Net 30 means you change the line to due net 30 and the SMS to 30 days. Do not leave the numbers fighting.

Message you can send

Keller and Moss — strategy session and research package invoiced. Due in 14 days. PDF on the link for finance: https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Use the company name they will forward

A first name is not enough if accounts payable does not know it.

02

Keep the item names from the proposal

A new label looks like a new fee.

03

Point at the PDF

The person who pays may not be the person you text.

04

Match the days

14 in the line, 14 in the SMS, or change both.

What to put on this invoice

  • The legal or trading name you are billing
  • The session or workshop
  • A package only if you sold one
  • Net days that match the contract

Questions about this job

What if they need a PO number?

Put it at the end of the client name or in the SMS. Ask for it before the due date, not after.

Is an SMS enough for a large firm?

It is the alert. The PDF is what they file. Send both by using the link.

Where is the full consulting layout?

The consulting template is linked on this page.

Write the SMS as if a stranger in accounts has to understand it. Often they do.
