Cleaner or housekeeper SMS invoice

Text the hours, the add-ons and the supplies. A cleaning SMS that only says “this week’s clean” does not explain the oven.

Bill the clean the day you did it

Regular cleans become invisible, and then the oven extra looks invented. Text the invoice the same day, name the add-on, and keep supplies separate if you charge them. For a weekly clean, say the date in the message so a monthly statement is not the first time they see four identical totals. Due on receipt matches how most home cleans are agreed.

Message you can send

Today’s clean at Oak Street: 4 hours, oven and supplies, $203, due today. https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Put the date in the SMS

“Thursday 30 Oct” stops “which visit is this?”.

02

Price the add-on alone

Oven, fridge and inside windows are why the total moved. Show them.

03

Supplies are a small line, not a secret

18 for supplies is easier to accept than a higher hourly rate with no explanation.

04

Send to the person who pays

If a partner booked you and an assistant pays the household bills, you still send the invoice to the one who asked to be billed.

What to put on this invoice

  • The date of the visit
  • Hours or the agreed flat fee
  • Add-ons as their own prices
  • Supplies, if you charge them

Questions about this job

What about a weekly standing clean?

Send an invoice per visit, or one invoice with a line per visit. Do not send a blank “monthly” number.

Should I wait to see if they complain about a missed spot?

Send the invoice. A complaint is a conversation. It is not a reason to hide the bill.

Can the SMS be a reminder for a direct debit?

If they already pay by debit, you may not need an invoice text. If you do send one, say “for your records” so it does not look like a second demand.

The cleaning template has the same shape if you want the longer page rather than only the SMS.
