Roofer invoice by text

Text the repair, the tiles or membrane, and the access cost. Roofing invoices should say the elevation or the area you actually touched.

Say which part of the roof this bill covers

Roofing customers cannot see the work without a ladder, so the text has to do more than a painter’s text. Name the slope or the leak, price the repair labour, the materials and the access or scaffold as separate lines. If you only inspected, invoice the inspection and do not describe it as a repair. A deposit for a larger reroof should say “deposit” and the percentage. Due in 14 days is reasonable after a repair. A full reroof may already have a staged agreement. Follow that agreement instead of inventing a new one in the text.

Message you can send

Roof repair on the rear slope is invoiced. Labour, tiles and the half day of access, due in 14 days: https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Name the area

“Rear slope” or “chimney flashing” tells them what they paid for.

02

Access is a real cost

Scaffold or a cherry picker belongs on its own line if you charged it.

03

Materials are the tiles, lead or membrane

A round “materials” number on a roof is more suspicious than on a small job. Name the main item.

04

Do not invoice the whole roof if you patched a leak

The description should be as small as the work.

What to put on this invoice

  • The area of the roof
  • Labour for the repair or the stage
  • The main materials
  • Access or scaffold if charged

Questions about this job

What if more damage is underneath?

Stop and tell them before you continue. A new scope is a new line they agree, not a quiet addition.

Should I attach photos?

Yes, in the same chat. The photos show the repair. The link is the bill.

Can I ask for a deposit by text before I order tiles?

Yes. Label it as a deposit and say what it reserves.

Because they cannot stand next to the work, the words have to be specific. “Roof done” is not specific.
