Get paid same day with a text invoice
Same-day payment needs a due date of today, a total in the text, and a customer who agreed to pay on completion. The text does not create that agreement.
Ask today only if today was the deal
“Due on receipt” means you are asking now. Use it when the customer expected to pay at the end of the visit. A project client on net 30 will not become a same-day payer because you texted them. For the jobs that are same-day, send the invoice before you leave and stay long enough for them to open it. If they pay cash or by transfer while you wait, mark the invoice paid. If they need an hour, the link is already in the thread for when they sit down.

Set the due date to on receipt
A net 14 invoice is not a same-day request. Do not chase it tonight.
Stay for the open
The chance of same-day payment drops when you are no longer there to answer one question.
Say the amount in the text
They should not have to tap to find out if they can pay it today.
Mark it paid when the money moves
Same-day admin includes the status, not only the send.

What if they want to pay tonight?
That is fine. The link does not expire at the end of the driveway. You still asked today.
Should I offer a discount for paying now?
Only if you already work that way. A surprise discount teaches people to wait for it.
What about a deposit and a balance on the same day?
One invoice can show both only if both are due now. Otherwise the deposit was earlier and this is the balance.
Same-day is a term you set, then a text that makes the term easy to meet.
