Pick the example that matches the money

An example is useful only if it is the same kind of request. A finished-job text says the work is done and the total is due. A deposit text says what the money reserves and that the work has not been invoiced in full. A balance text says a deposit was already paid and this is the rest. Mixing those sentences is how a client pays twice or pays nothing. The line above is a balance-style milestone. The preview shows one line and a due date. Your text should use the word balance if money has already changed hands.

Message you can send

Balance for the cafe launch milestone, $600, due in 30 days. This is not the deposit you already paid. https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Decide which of the three you are sending

Finished work, deposit, or balance. Write that word in the text.

02

Make the invoice match the word

A deposit line should not be described as the full fee.

03

Keep the example’s length

Two sentences and a link. The page holds the breakdown.

04

Preview before you copy

If the preview total and the number in your text disagree, fix the line, not the adjective.

What to put on this invoice

  • The word deposit, balance, or the job is done
  • The amount
  • The due rule
  • The link

Questions about this job

Can I see more than one example?

The related guides on this page are other scripts: trades, WhatsApp, and a plumber-ready text. They are not the same example rewritten.

What if I need a past-due example?

Say the invoice is still open and repeat the original link. Do not call it a new invoice.

Are these examples a free product?

The wording is free to copy. Saving invoices into a workspace uses a paid plan.

Name the kind of money you are asking for. The rest of the text gets easier.
