Say the pet and the dates

Pet care is personal, and the invoice still needs dates. A weekly text that says “Milo, five walks and Wednesday’s extra” is easy to approve. A text that says “pet services 102” is not. Keys, medication visits and a holiday sit are different products. Holiday sitting should say the nights. Walks should say the count. If you are holding a deposit for a holiday, this invoice is either the deposit or the balance, and the text must say which.

Message you can send

This week for Milo: 5 walks and the extra Wednesday visit, due today. https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Name the animal

Households with two dogs need to see which one, or that the price covers both.

02

Count the walks or the nights

The number should match the week they can remember.

03

Extras as extras

A midday visit, a medication visit, a bank-holiday rate. Each one is a line.

04

Send it on your usual day

A Friday text for a Monday-to-Friday walker becomes part of the routine. A random Tuesday looks like a duplicate.

What to put on this invoice

  • The pet’s name
  • The count of walks or nights
  • Extras and bank-holiday rates
  • The week or the holiday dates

Questions about this job

What if they cancel a walk?

Follow the cancellation rule you already sent them. A charged cancellation should say “late cancel”, not look like a walk that happened.

Should I send one invoice for two pets?

Yes, if one person pays, with a line per pet or a line that says both. Two payers means two invoices.

Can the text include a photo of the walk?

Yes. The photo is the update. The link is the bill. Keep those roles obvious.

The pet’s name in the first line is what makes the message feel like a bill for their animal and not a generic demand.
