Invoice with bank details in a text message
Bank details belong in the text you send, if you want to be paid by transfer. InvoiceTXT does not store a bank account on the invoice.
Put the account in the message, not in a new product field
Some customers still pay by bank transfer, and they will ask for the details in the same place as the bill. There is no bank-details box on the invoice. You write the account name, sort code or IBAN in the text you control, and only if you are comfortable sending those details to that customer. Do not put a card number, a password or a photo of a cheque in the thread. Do not put the account number inside the invoice line, or it will show up as a nonsense item. The link remains the list of work: the consultation and the sample board. If you have not given them the account before, this message can carry it, and you should expect the details to be copied. Sending bank details to the wrong chat is your mistake to avoid, because the product cannot see the chat.
Keep the work on the invoice and the account in the text
Mixing them makes the total wrong and the details public on a page.
Send details only to the payer
A group chat is the wrong audience for an account number.
Match the account name to the trading name
A personal account with a different name is how transfers get queried.
Never ask for their card in the reply
You do not need it, and you should not store it.
What to put on this invoice
- The services and the total on the link
- The due date
- The account name and the details, in the text, if transfer is the method
- A reminder not to send you their card
Questions about this job
Can I save my bank details on the invoice template?
No. Type them into the message when you want that customer to have them.
What if they pay the wrong account?
The invoice still shows what they owe. The transfer is between banks. This product cannot see or reverse it.
Should the PDF contain the IBAN?
It does not add one for you. If a payer needs it on a file, put it in the message and keep the PDF as the list of work.
The invoice lists the work. The text can carry the account you want them to pay. Those are two different sentences on purpose.
