How to send one

How to create an invoice without an app

You and your customer can do this in the browser. There is no store download, no tablet app and no login for the person paying.

Skip the app store

Field work dies in app installs. The customer will not make an account to pay a one-off cleaner or a photographer they met today. You also should not need a laptop to produce the bill. A browser on the phone is enough to type the line, read the preview and copy the link. The customer opens that link in their browser. If they want a file, they download the PDF from the same page.

Message you can send

Portrait invoice is in the browser, no app to install. Session, editing and travel. Due in 7 days: https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Open the page, do not install

Use the demo or your workspace in the phone browser. Add the site to your home screen later if you want a shortcut. That is still the website.

02

Type the job in one line

The portrait example above is the whole invoice. Change the name and the numbers.

03

Copy the link

That is what you send. You are not exporting a project file.

04

Leave the customer logged out

They should never see a signup wall between the text and the total.

What to put on this invoice

  • A browser, which the phone already has
  • The client name and prices
  • A link you can paste
  • A PDF on that same page for anyone who asks for a file

Questions about this job

Does my customer need an account?

No. An account is for you, so you can find the invoice later. Their only step is to open the link.

What about offline?

You can draft the wording in notes, then create the invoice when you have a connection. The link itself needs the network to open.

Is a home-screen icon an app?

It is a bookmark. It does not change what the customer receives.

If the invoice needs an install, a one-off customer will not finish it. A link does not ask them to.
