The text goes out with the link. The PDF is on that page immediately, for you or for them. You do not lay out a document first.
One create, two formats
People lose time making the PDF and then typing a separate summary that does not match. Create the invoice once. The page is what the text points at. The PDF downloads from that page and from the API if your account created it. Instant means you do not export, rename and attach before the customer is allowed to see the total. It does not mean the PDF arrives as a mystery file with no context. The text still has to say what the money is for. If you change a line later, download the PDF again. An old file in a chat is a stale invoice.

How do I get the PDF?
Open the invoice and choose download, or call GET /v1/invoices/{id}/pdf with your API key.
Can I text the PDF without the link?
You can attach it, and you will lose the viewed status and the acknowledgement. The link is the better habit.
Does the PDF update itself in their phone?
No. If they already downloaded it, send a note that the file changed and they should download again.
Create once. Point the text at the page. Let the PDF be a download, not a design project.
