From a voice note to a line the totals can read

A voice note is a good capture tool and a bad invoice. Customers will not pay a two-minute audio clip, and you will not remember the mulch price next month from a file named Voice 014. Play the note, or use the transcript your phone already made, and type one line: client, hours at a rate, materials, due date. Then look at the preview. Speech-to-text turns “at fifty-five” into odd words. The @ sign and the digits are worth fixing by hand.

Message you can send

Garden invoice from the voice note I sent: maintenance, mulch and delivery. Due in 14 days. https://invoicetxt.com/i/your-link

01

Record the facts, not a story

Say the client, the hours, the rate, the materials and when you want to be paid. Skip the weather.

02

Paste the transcript

Drop it into the invoice box. Break it with commas so each price is its own piece.

03

Correct the numbers

Read every price against the note. A transcript that hears 55 as 155 is an expensive typo.

04

Send the link, keep the note

The note is your backup. The invoice is what the customer receives. You do not need to forward the audio.

What to put on this invoice

  • Spoken hours and a rate
  • Materials as separate prices
  • The due date, spoken clearly
  • A quick read of the preview before the text goes out

Questions about this job

Can InvoiceTXT listen to the audio file?

No. Paste the words. The invoice is built from the line, which you can check. An audio file cannot be added up.

What if I dictate in the car?

Park, then send. A wrong total texted at a junction is harder to unwind than a draft you have not sent.

Should the customer hear the note?

Only if you want them to. The invoice should stand without it.

The voice note gets the job out of your head. The line turns it into a number you can stand behind.
